El Algar is a small typical Spanish town and is to be found at the southern end of the Mar Menor.It has all the amenities and is only 5 minutes from the sandy beaches. The famous La Manga golf club is around 10 minutes drive away and the airport at San Javier is 20 minutes away. El Algar is very close to the city of Cartagena and the city of Murcia can be reached by the A30 motorway in around 30 minutes.There are many golf courses in the area including Serena Golf and Mar Menor Golf. As well as golf, other activites include horse riding, water sports tennis etc.
